not nearly as many times as when i felt i "should"...
the "feeling like i should" times seem to come when i've been to student-type performances (plays, concerts) where you just look like a creep if you don't stand up with the rest of the people because "aww, they tried so hard, and they're such good kids".
but i know that there have been a handful of times (student performances and otherwise) where the standing ovation truly was deserved. it's a shame that the "feel like you should" standing ovations cheapen the real ones.
